Master Scheduler

Description:

Accountable for creating monthly and weekly production requirements and inventory plans that meet demand requirements from the IBP Planning process.

Utilizes capacity analysis and customer service policies to govern schedules and finished product inventory plans. Responsible for creating and executing master scheduling time horizons and periods in accordance with business strategies and policies. May be responsible for master plans for single or multiple plants. Works with demand managers, operations and unit managers, supervisors, material planners, schedulers and customer service. Responsible for continuous improvement of the master scheduling process and performance.

Functions:

• Develops the weekly Master Production Schedule at the detailed level (disaggregate/SKU) by translating the IBP monthly aggregate Production Plan for the MPS horizon considering all demand and requirements for production.
• Maintains and communicates a valid timephased master schedule.
• Implement, execute, and maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) policies to ensure stability and responsiveness.
• Maintains and provide valid Available to Promise (ATP) data.
• Maintains Inventory levels following inventory strategies per product.
• Identify and resolve conflicts with supply and demand and available capacity for the MPS horizon.
• Utilize "what if" simulations to evaluate proposed MPS changes to determine impact and execute the approved changes effectively.
• Recommend disposition of obsolete or slowmoving inventories as appropriate.
• Participate with manufacturing and/or technology in the structure of Material Master/BOM's/recipes.
• Participate in the IBP process and meetings as required.
• Key interface with sales, demand management, customer service, marketing, engineering and production for the purpose of satisfying customer requirements.
• Key interface back to Portfolio Planning Managers and Asset Schedulers when required.
• Responsible for key master production planning metrics, root cause and corrective action.
• Maintains accurate data to support the master scheduling process (e.g. lead times, lot sizes, product wheel, and other operating rules and conditions).
• Facilitate the daily/weekly/monthly meetings.

Qualifications:

• 25 Years work experience and demonstrated capability in planning, leading by influence and organizational skills
• English proficiency
• Bachelor ́s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business

Preferred training / certifications:

• Six Sigma Green Belt
• APICS Certification: CPIM, Modules 1, 2, and
• APICS Certification: CPIM. Modules 4 and
• Operations, scheduling, and planning experiences
• Six Sigma Black Belt and/or certified Lean Practitioner
• Lean 3day overview training (may be obtained on the job)
• SAP / APO / BW (or equivalent) training
• Manufacturing Experience
• SAP / APO / IBP / S&OP knowledge
• MRP Enterprise knowledge
