small business that provides monitoring and evaluation services in the international development industry and currently implements the USAID/Colombia Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activity.

The MEL activity provides technical and advisory services to USAID in the following components:
(1) Monitoring; (2) Performance and Impact Assessments; (3) Research, Assessments, and Data Analysis; (4) Geographic Information Services (GIS) and (5) Collaboration, Learning, and Adaptation tasks (CLA).


Our company is looking for a detail-oriented, research-minded Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist, with an excellent research, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills to join our MEL team.

The GIS specialist will be responsible for collecting, processing, integrating, and analyzing geospatial data from various sources according to the USAID/Colombia requirements, as well as working in collaboration with the other components of the MEL activity.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the GIS team in the collection, processing and uploading of data required for the geospatial analysis of the indicators of the USAID Colombia Context Data Hub.
  • Support evaluation and assessment teams performing geospatial analysis and other visual representations of data for use in reports and presentations.
  • Collect, process, and analyze geospatial data and other types of information in conformity with USAID/Colombia requirements and the other components of the MEL Activity.
  • Produce map products, highresolution imagery, and other graphic products to clearly communicate information as required.
  • Document methods used, write technical reports, contribute to knowledge sharing or technical capacity building in geographic information systems and promote geospatial information products in USAID/Colombia and its implementing partners.
  • Occasional field work possible.
  • Support the GIS component in any other requirements that may be required.

La actividad MEL brinda servicios técnicos y de asesoría a USAID en los siguientes componentes:
(1) Monitoreo; (2) Evaluaciones de desempeño e impacto; (3) Investigación, evaluaciones y análisis de datos; (4) Servicios de Información Geográfica (GIs) y (5) Tareas de Colaboración, Aprendizaje y Adaptación (CLA).


Nuestra empresa está buscando un especialista en SIG orientado al detalle y a la investigación, con excelentes habilidades de investigación, colaboración, comunicación e interpersonales para unirse a nuestro equipo de MEL.

El especialista en SIG será responsable de recopilar, procesar, integrar y analizar datos geoespaciales de diversas fuentes de acuerdo con los requisitos de USAID/Colombia, así como de trabajar en colaboración con los demás componentes de la actividad MEL.


Responsabilidades:

  • Apoyar a el componente SIG en la recopilación, procesamiento u cargue de datos requeridos para el análisis geoespacial de los indicadores del USAID Colombia Context Data Hub.
  • Apoyar a los equipos de evaluación e investigaciones en la realización de análisis geoespaciales y otras representaciones visuales de datos para su uso en informes y presentaciones.
  • Recopilar, procesar, analizar datos geoespaciales y otros tipos de información, de acuerdo con los requerimientos de USAID/Colombia y los demás componentes de MEL Activity.
  • Elaborar productos cartográficos, imágenes de alta resolución y otros productos gráficos para comunicar con claridad la información según requerimiento.
  • Apoyar el diseño, creación y mantenimiento de aplicaciones geoespaciales (incluidos dashboards, webmaps u otras herramientas según requerimiento, a partir de las plataformas de ArcGIS de Esri o Tableau).
  • Documentar los métodos usados, redactar informes técnicos, contribuir al intercambio de conocimientos o al fortalecimiento de la capacidad técnica en sistemas de información geográfica y promover productos de información geoespacial en USAID/Colombia y sus socios implementadores.
