Join our team at O-I and play a key role in shaping the future of energy procurement strategy in Latin America. We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Regional Energy Procurement Senior Specialist. If you are ready to make a difference, this is your opportunity.
As a Regional Energy Procurement Senior Specialist at O-I, you will work closely with the LATAM Energy Procurement Manager to lead energy sourcing projects across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador. Your mission is to optimize energy procurement strategies, manage risks, and add maximum value to our organization.
Furthermore, you will:
- Implement sourcing and risk management strategies for energy commodities, ensuring seamless execution and incident management.
- Develop market intelligence to support decision-making and enhance our energy portfolio.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes, geopolitical developments, and industry innovations influencing energy procurement.
- Oversee regional and local tenders, negotiate agreements, and lead savings initiatives for cost-effective solutions.
- Build strong vendor relationships, monitor contract adherence, and drive continuous improvements.
- Provide strategic insights on energy position reports and price forecasts to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align energy procurement strategies with broader organizational goals.
Scope and Impact:
- Optimize procurement costs, manage energy supply shortages, and identify alternative suppliers for operational continuity.
- Act as a key negotiator for contract issues and stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the energy supply chain.
- The Energy Procurement Senior Specialist significantly impacts financial performance, operational resilience, and sustainability goals of the organization.
We embrace remote work and offer this position as a remote opportunity, enabling you to work from various locations in Latin America. Please note, we do not provide relocation.

Qualifications
About You:
- Bachelor degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in energy procurement, including risk management.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, along with expertise in strategic sourcing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and project management.
- Enjoy challenges and thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in English and Spanish - Additional languages are a plus.
