    Description
IFC is seeking an ET Consultant For LAC Region.

The internship opportunity offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world.

The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas to IFC's work, while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulating environment.

Moreover, the internship experience provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The ETC will be working with the country teams and core investment teams.
  • Identify data collection needs to support the assessment of financial, operational, development impact, and market information as well as relevant ES&G matters.
  • Analyze financial statements and projections, build financial models, and run sensitivities, with accountability for factual accuracy.
  • Gather and summarize project, sector, and country benchmarking information to be used to capture lessons learned, with accountability for factual accuracy.
  • Secondary projects will involve supporting teams on 1) existing investment portfolio actions, (e.g., credit risk analysis, waiver, and consent actions) and 2) business development (e.g., sector, company, and sponsor analyses).

Selection Criteria

  • Master's Degree and 24 years of relevant experience; Field of study in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or Economics, preferably.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience credit, investment management, or investment banking, desired.
  • Financial analysis and modelling skills highly preferred.
