The Opportunity

We are in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role presents an outstanding chance to be involved in various projects, spanning from new constructions to renovations, always with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. You will be an integral part of a highly collaborative international team, working on both national and international projects and interacting with professionals from all over the world.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will:

  1. Project Lead mechanical engineering. Design of building services systems including heating, cooling ventilation (HVAC), plumbing, and fire systems.
  2. Collaborate with various fields and work alongside project managers to provide comprehensive and coordinated design deliverables.
  3. Assist, supervise, and mentor team members and deliver timely feedback and recognition to others.
  4. Maintain strong client relations as it pertains to project delivery and repeat business.
  5. Prepare drawings, specifications, technical reports, and presentation materials and incorporate balanced design methods in buildings.
  6. Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
  7. Participate in local Professional Associations.
  8. Be responsible for quality standards, commercial metrics, and client relations for projects.
  9. Work mainly in commercial buildings, such as offices, hotels, data centers, hospitals, and others.
  10. Work in international environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 6+ years of professional experience crafting building HVAC systems, and or plumbing, fire, gases systems.
  2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based work.
  3. Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels and commercial/financial awareness.
  4. Ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work, and outstanding organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment.
  5. Professional Engineering license is preferred.
  6. Ideally having Revit MEP knowledge.
  7. Could be considered if having more industrial background in plumbing or gas systems.
