Job Title: Analyst, Strategic Revenue Planning & Economics-2

Overview:

As Analyst Strategic Revenue Planning & Economics, you will be part of the broader Digital Transformation Team in Core Payments Team at Mastercard. You will be working in a truly global context and focus on coordinating the development of a medium- to long-term revenue plan and support the development of pricing initiatives and lifecycle management pricing strategies.

In this position, you will be working on individual workstreams of global pricing initiatives for MasterCard core products and services. You will support senior team members to analyze, assess, and implement initiatives to strengthen MasterCard's competitive position at a product level while considering the regional and market-specific realities. By enhancing and shaping Mastercard economics you play an important role in the development and adoption of innovative payment solutions.

You will also execute analyses to support the senior team members with the medium- to long-term strategic revenue planning effort, creating visibility on the Core Payments services revenue evolution.

You will have broad exposure within the organization and work closely with Global & Regional Product management representatives and liaise with the key functional partners in Finance. The ideal candidate possesses strong data analytical skills combined with a keen desire to learn more about the payments industry and aspires to develop and progress into a senior pricing & revenue planning leader at Mastercard.

Role:

In the role you will:

  1. Use tools like SQL, R, or Python to analyze large datasets and uncover actionable insights
  2. Help design, implement, and optimize pricing models for core products and services
  3. Run financial impact simulations and scenario analyses on country, product and customer level
  4. Execute assessments of the different initiatives incorporating multiple perspectives such as strategy, risk, customer impact, feasibility
  5. Collaborate closely with the senior team members and prepare recommendations and necessary materials for decision-making purposes
  6. Participate in cross-functional teams and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, e.g. country & account management, Finance, O&T, Legal
  7. Participate in global economics projects to accelerate data analytics (not developing reporting dashboards)

All About You

The ideal candidate:

  1. Combines strong analytical and quantitative skills with an eagerness to learn and high level of curiosity
  2. Has a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
  3. Is proficient in Excel and masters programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar for data analysis and modeling
  4. Combines a proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  5. Is able to conduct complex analysis with an ability to translate data-driven technical and analytical output into crisp insights and recommendations
  6. Has excellent English communication skills (verbally and written)
  7. Is a strong team player with a good sense of humor
