What you will do
  1. Design and implement the DataLake DFR tasks that interact with the Task Queue Service.
  2. As part of CORGI, help the company migrate 50% of EMR-based Spark jobs to run on Kubernetes.
  3. Help the company minimize manual steps required for migrating each ORC Spark application to Spark-on-K8S by improving automation along with the ORC team and creating necessary documentation/instructions/examples.
  4. Create tooling for monitoring, testing, and data validation that each customer team can use, to verify the success of the migration.
  5. Prioritize migration tasks and collaborate closely with customer teams to ensure the successful migration of at least 50% of Spark workloads from EMR clusters.
Must haves
  • 4+ years of experience in Java, Bootstrap.
Nice to haves
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL.
