MYP / DP Integrated Sciences / Biology Teacher

The teacher should be able to:
- Implement MYP / DP philosophy and standards on his/her daily performance.
- Participate in the design, development, implementation and review of the MYP/DP Sciences/Biology curricula.
- Liaise with the MYP/DP team to ensure effective delivery of curriculum to different classes.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to regular staff training and meetings.
- Create a well-organized environment that is conducive to learning where students' behavior and classroom procedures are managed effectively.
- Promote a health and safety environment in his/her classes.
- Encourage team spirit in the middle school and develop links with colleagues across the school.
- Review, edit, and maintain MYP unit planners and report card system updated in ManageBac.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in the area of Sciences/Biology is a must.
- Master's Degree in Sciences or General Sciences is a plus.
- A minimum of two years of experience in teaching Sciences/Biology, preferably in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) or Diploma Programme (DP).
- Working proficiency in English.
- Excellent command of Spanish.
- Successful and proven teaching experience.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Capacity to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Training in the MYP/DP is a plus.
- Transportation provided.
