The main focus of this role will bedesigning and reviewing the electrical elements of the permitpackages and construction drawings for commercial solar projects inthe United States and working with a team of solar designers. Theseelements include line diagrams, site plans, elevations, DCstringing, electrical calculations, and more. We are looking for acandidate who: has excellent problem-solving skills; is anindependent worker with a collaborative mindset; has excellent timemanagement skills; has a technical background and skills such asAutoCAD; and has excellent English communication skills.Responsibilities - Complete electrical designs for commercial-scalePV projects (Interconnection packages, Issued for Permit / Issuedfor Construction packages, As-Builts, etc.) - Work with clients andrevise projects to meet their needs - Assist with updating andmaintaining protocol documentation - Perform Commercial ElectricalMorning Checks - Provide feedback to commercial electricalreviewers and team lead on time-consuming aspects of the electricaldesign process to help drive efficiency improvements - Assist theteam lead with administrative tasks Standard Working Hours - Mondayto Friday, 9am to 5:30pm EST Key Requirements - Engineering degree- A few years of recent AutoCAD experience is highly desirable -Experience completing electrical designs for PV systems isconsidered an asset, particularly commercial solar, though any PVexperience is valuable - Experience with energy storage systemsconsidered an asset - Extensive knowledge of the NEC and itsapplication to PV systems is an asset - Excellent communication andteamwork skills - Strong project management skills Inclusivity: Wework collaboratively and with utmost respect for all diversegenders, ages, cultures, and skill sets at Exactus.
