RD&A responsibility across ideation, analysis and execution of all phases of key strategic focus areas aligned to the Global Process Technology agenda. Partnering with the relevant regional Process Technology Operations Sponsor, play a functional - RD&A leadership role on behalf of the region in the development of a cross-functional and cross-regional team to scope, understand, structure and deploy a sustainable performance and change programmed across a selected area of PT focus. This activity will be enabled by the development of a community of PT practice to ensure internal knowledge sharing and transfer. Focusing on sub region and site technologies and processes: spray dry, hydrolysis and dry blends. 

Key responsibilities

"• Ensuring leadership in contributing to collaborative analysis of our end to end environment, data and KPIs to identify opportunities and support practical evaluation of those opportunities through development of shared action plans to achieve – highlighting material impacts and investment.
• Ensure that Safety First, Quality Always is at the fore of all planning – from design through to change implementation. • Play a role in the differentiation and prioritization of performance improvement opportunities through our PT innovation pipeline, leveraging a broad range of PT related RD&A expertise 
(Spray Drying as priority focus) – ensuring that RD&A considerations are clearly set alongside proposed design constructs and/or change proposals. 
• Adoption and deployment at scale of agreed new innovative technologies; prioritization of additional scenarios informed by strategic technology assessment, platforming, site by site 
improvements etc.
• Utilize extended knowledge across all RD&A functions to ensure an end to end view of attributes & value levers within PT scope, with a specific focus on Gold Standard Formulation & optimum process parameters.
• Support in the development of business case inputs for review by regional/global sponsor group (including relevant CTO leadership).
• Support the identification of key opportunities based on prioritization and value sizing - including effort required to deliver (as well as any requirements for third party support) – ensure capture as part of regional project pipeline (including governance sign-offs)
• Development of an integrated roadmap by technology combining all improvement levers to get from current to future state – including robust assessment of execution and project plans to deliver, including infrastructural assessment of capability to deliver within the four walls of a plant, and supported centrally as required 
• Play a regional role to assess need and subsequently prioritize functional resource and time in delivering opportunities; work with relevant leaders to allocate specific responsibility across the various teams & provide direction in collaboration with extended site/business teams. 
• Working with our cross-enterprise partners e.g. Manufacturing and Engineering in delivering a shared programmed of work – a process excellence agenda, aligned and informed by our EUM strategies across all regions.
• Platforming and product/ formulation complexity - end to end production process mapping and optimization starting with priority technologies; top down full opportunity assessment and improvements for process technology – understanding value chains for each family allowing for analysis on platforming opportunities both in processes and recipes.
• Working hand in hand with all EUMs to ensure resource efficiency through out the NPI process "    

Qualifications and skills

2+ years in an RD&A role, mainly in food industry.

Engineering in Food/Chemical/similar
