What you will do

  • Develop and maintain web applications using React.js and Node.js, ensuring they are scalable, robust, and user-friendly.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Implement data storage solutions using AWS services and Aurora Postgres (RDS).

  • Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code and ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure they are functioning correctly.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our products and development processes.

Must haves

  • Proven 4-6+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong portfolio of web applications.

  • Proficiency in React.js and Node.js, with a deep understanding of their core principles and best practices.

  • Experience with AWS services, particularly those relevant to web development and deployment.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Aurora Postgres (RDS) or other relational databases.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with other front-end frameworks and libraries such as Angular or Vue.js.

  • Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing.

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.

  • Background in financial services or industry-specific knowledge related to Bloomberg Industry Group’s focus areas.
