Purchase Order Management: Understanding of procurement processes. Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP for PO creation, tracking, and management. Vendor relationship management skills. Familiarity with supply chain management principles. Data Analytics and Reporting: Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, manipulation, and reporting. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports. Basic understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems for extracting and analyzing data. Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and trend analysis methods. Customer Service and Support: Strong communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally. Problem-solving skills to address customer issues effectively. Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies for identifying process improvement opportunities. Ability to analyze processes and propose efficiency enhancements. Willingness to actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects. Internal/External Communication & Collaboration: Proficient in written and verbal communication. Experience using collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams or Slack for internal communication. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with external vendors and partners. General Skills: Time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Attention to detail for accurate data analysis and report generation. Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and processes. Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Overall, the Student Intern should focus on developing a combination of technical skills (such as Excel, Power BI, and SAP), analytical abilities, and soft skills (such as communication and collaboration) to effectively fulfill their responsibilities and contribute to the organization's success.
